1998 – Signs with San Diego Flash of the A-League.

1999 – Joins San Jose Earthquakes as a backup ‘keeper, but takes over from injured ‘keeper David Kramer just eight games into season.

2000 – Named the Earthquakes Defensive Player of the Year.

2001 – Won MLS Cup with Earthquakes and named in MLS All-Star Team.

2002 – Wins MLS Goalkeeper of the Year award and named in MLS All-Star Team for a second time.

2003 – Joins RC Lens. Signs for Colorado Rapids. Makes debut for US National team against New Zealand.

2004 – Named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year for the second time.
